Over on the WebCT Gateway site, there is a new screencast available, on creating and downloading course backups in WebCT CE 4.1. As noted there, this is a visual representation of information that is available in the WebCT help files. For your convenience, the direct link to the .mov file is also available here.
I've also taken this opportunity to experiment a bit with google video. The Google Video version is fuzzier and smaller, but you can get a general idea of where things are from watching it.
Rob has posted a screencast over on the UVM WebCT Gateway page, depicting how to add a links page to your WebCT course.
I've also added a link from the How-To's area of the WebCT Gateway site back to this blog's WebCT category.
Here's a short clip describing how to remove students from your WebCT course. It shows how to remove student at a time, as well as a number of students at once.
Note that you should probably download a backup copy of the grade book (select download from the leftmost drop-down box) before doing this. Also, after deleting multiple students, you will want to select "show all students" from the drop-down box, so that you can once again see your current class.

This is a screencast on how to import an IMS content package into WebCT Campus Edition 4.1.5. If you'd like to follow along, you can download the sample IMS packaged file. This example file contains a simple quiz with a link to UVM's academic honesty policy, and a description of copyright law.
Importing an IMS content package into WebCT 4.1.5 (25MB, about 5 minutes long)
Sample packaged file (4K).
WebCT also has documentation fo this process. The quiz contained in the sample package file is part of the Center for Teaching & Learning's Guidelines for Online Course Development.
